Chobe Game Lodge
Chobe Game Lodge is a luxury lodge with a proud history as the first lodge situated within the national park. It remains the sole lodge on the banks of the river in Chobe National Park. It’s a prestigious location and the lodge has terraces and a boardwalk from which you’ll enjoy marvellous views of the river, islands and floodplains. Another unique feature is the all-female guiding team, ready and eager to share their knowledge and passion for the natural world.
Rooms have a fine range of facilities including air-conditioning, tea and coffee makers, minibar and safe. The spacious bathroom has a bathtub and a separate shower and solar-heated water. You’ll be given a dressing gown and slippers for your stay. All rooms have a terrace or veranda facing the river. The opulent luxury suites have huge terraces with private plunge pools, as well as extra indoor space.
There are 6 viewing decks, a riverside boardwalk, all great for wildlife watching, and boma where you can relax in the open air. In addition there are 6 lounges, so you’ll always be able to find a cosy corner or strike up a conversation with other guests as you wish. You have a choice of dining venues, too, where you’ll enjoy beautifully crafted dishes. One of the bars is designed as a Bedouin tent while the other is at the top of the lodge with outstanding views over the river.
Chobe Game Lodge offers 3 safari activities a day, including game drives, boat safaris and sunset cruises. They are slowly introducing a new fleet of electric safari vehicles. In between activities there’s ample time to unwind at the lodge, enjoying a refreshing swim in the pool with its waterfall, or sampling a treatment at the spa.

Tuskwana the Elephant likes this because…
“Chobe Game Lodge was the first to operate electric game drive vehicles and now also have solar powered boats. All aspects of waste are tackled from glass, plastic, cans, water to compostable and combustible waste. They also have an all female guiding team. Guests can enjoy a ‘behind the scenes tour’ and take a look at sustainable tourism initiatives implemented at the lodge.“
And don’t forget … for every booking we take, Botswana Specialists (which is part of Tribes Travel) plants trees in deforested areas of Africa through The Travel Forest, and we also back The Tribes Foundation’s conservation and social projects.
