Linyanti Ebony Camp

Linyanti Ebony Camp is an 8-bedded camp in a private concession at the edge of Linyanti Marsh, an important water source which acts as a magnet for wildlife including herds of elephant and pods of hippo. The guest tents and central area are built on wooden decks looking out across the lagoons. You’ll have a choice of game drives, boat trips, mokoro rides and guided walks which will let you explore different aspects of the many habitats and show you the diverse animal and bird life. The half hour helicopter flight over the marsh is sure to be a real highlight of your stay.

The traditional, walk-in safari tents are large, with comfy wooden-framed twin beds, dressing tables, wardrobes, mirrors, chairs and a couch. Look out for the elaborately folded towels on your bed – quite a work of art! The bathroom has twin hand basins, a shower and toilet. The covered deck is a lovely place to take it easy, watching animals and birds nearby while sipping a cup of tea or coffee.

The main building is open plan with an L-shaped sofa at one end and the dining table at the other. The open sides let you enjoy views of wildlife as you rest between safari activities and there are flasks of tea and coffee you ca n help yourself to. To the front there’s a viewing deck and to one side is a lower deck with loungers and a plunge pool. Early breakfasts are served round the glowing campfire, lunch is usually a buffet and dinner is enjoyed sitting together at the large table. Post-dinner drinks round the campfire give you time to share stories with other guests, your guides and hosts.
