Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Enjoy the freedom of self-catering in your own lodge. Set in attractive grounds within easy reach of Victoria Falls and the many activities available there. Return to relax by the pool, chat to guests in the lounge and bar and have a BBQ on your private terrace.
If you want the independence of your own self-catering lodge set in pretty gardens Lokuthula is just right for you. Meaning ‘place of peace’, these two and three-bedroomed lodges provide comfortable, affordable accommodation close to Victoria Falls and Zambezi National Park.
The lodge grounds adjoin Victoria Falls Safari Lodge and border Zambezi National Park. Staying here you can enjoy guided tours of the falls, treat yourself to a scenic helicopter flight, take a leisurely and picturesque cruise on the Zambezi River at sunset or, if you crave thrills, go white water rafting and other adrenalin-fuelled activities by the falls. Game drives in the national park provide a nice counterpoint to the falls-based activities. All can be booked at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge.
With so much to see and do, you’ll be glad to return to Lokuthula to unwind. The grounds include a swimming pool with three different levels and a deck with loungers and sunshades. On a stroll round the gardens you may well see bushbuck, warthog and mongoose, and there’s a waterhole not far away which attracts game such as elephant and buffalo. Mix with other guests at The Buffalo Bar, especially popular at sundowner time, and in the resident’s lounge where you can also watch TV.
At your lodge you have a spacious lounge-diner, fully equipped kitchen and a terrace complete with a braai (barbecue), so you have a choice of dining options. If you want a rest from preparing your own food you can go to the dinner and drum show at The Boma on site.
