Every holiday we sell is financially protected. Here is exactly how, in plain English.
Botswana Specialists is part of Tribes Travel Ltd (company number 3490816), and every holiday we sell is financially protected, going beyond what the law requires. If your trip includes flights booked through us, it is protected under our ATOL licence. If it does not include flights, it is protected by our ABTOT bond. Either way, your money is safe.
Our ATOL number is 5802. ATOL (Air Travel Organiser's Licence) is the UK Government-backed scheme run by the Civil Aviation Authority. When you book a flight-inclusive package with us, we will send you an ATOL Certificate as soon as you make any payment. It lists exactly what is protected, so do check that everything you have booked appears on it.
In the unlikely event of our insolvency, the scheme makes sure you are not stranded abroad and refunds money you have paid for an advance booking. You can read more, and verify our licence, at atol.org.
Our ABTOT number is 5227. The Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust provides financial protection under The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 for Tribes Travel. For holidays without flights, and certain other arrangements, ABTOT cover provides a refund if you have not yet travelled, or repatriation if you are abroad, should we fail financially.
