This trip brings together the very best of Botswana, from the flooded waterways of the Okavango to the wide, white silence of the salt pans. You travel by light aircraft between remote camps, so you spend your time in the wilderness rather than getting to it.
Arrive into Maun, the friendly little town that is the gateway to the Delta. You are met and flown by light aircraft into your first camp, deep in the wilderness.
Find the rhythm of the Delta with water and land safaris, including a gentle mokoro glide through the papyrus channels at eye level with the wildlife.
A full day to explore further. Perhaps a guided walk on the floodplains, or sundowners out on the water as the light turns gold.
Fly across to the Khwai region on the edge of Moremi, some of the richest wildlife country in Africa and a stronghold for wild dogs.
Morning and afternoon game drives. This is big-cat territory, so keep your eyes peeled for lion and the wonderfully elusive leopard.
More time among the wildlife, with night drives offering the chance to see the area's nocturnal hunters out and about.
Fly south to the salt pans, a completely different and rather otherworldly landscape of endless horizons and huge skies.
Spend time with a habituated meerkat colony and walk the desert with San guides, who read the land in a way few of us ever could.
Quad bike out across the pans (seasonal) or simply sit back and soak up the silence. The night skies here are extraordinary.
Fly back to Maun for your final night, with time to look through your photos and toast a wonderful trip.
