This is a proper expedition, an overland mobile safari that links the vast Central Kalahari with the game-rich Moremi. You camp in comfort in the thick of it, travelling by 4x4 between two very different wildernesses, and with a real chance of the Kalahari's famous black-maned lions along the way. It is wild, immersive and wonderful value.
Arrive into Maun and meet your guide and crew, with a briefing on the adventure ahead.
Travel by 4x4 into the vast Central Kalahari Game Reserve and set up camp deep in the desert.
Explore the famous Deception Valley, prime country for the Kalahari's black-maned lions and big herds of oryx.
More desert wildlife, from cheetah and brown hyena to springbok, in a landscape of huge skies and deep silence.
A final day in the desert, perhaps walking with San guides who read this ancient land like no one else.
Travel north to the Moremi Game Reserve, swapping desert for the green, watery heart of the Delta.
Full days of game drives in superb big-cat country, with lion, leopard and the elusive wild dog.
More wildlife, with night drives offering the chance to find the nocturnal hunters at work.
Move to the Khwai area on the edge of Moremi, famous for its rich game and excellent guiding.
Travel back to Maun for your onward journey, with a head full of desert and Delta.
