Khwai sits on the eastern boundary of Moremi, a community-run concession with all the wildlife of the reserve and a good deal more freedom. Here guides can drive off-road to a sighting, head out after dark, and walk you through the bush, none of which the reserves allow. The result is some of the most rewarding and intimate game viewing in Botswana.
As a community concession, Khwai allows off-road driving and night drives, for closer sightings and nocturnal hunters.
Lion, leopard, cheetah and the Delta's famous wild dogs all do well here.
Leave the vehicle and explore on foot with expert guides, something the reserves do not permit.
