“Heaven on earth! What a beautiful location, wonderful service, and luxury in the middle of bush.” A happy recent guest showered Stanley Safari Lodge with these compliments recently and swore to return to the Zambian treasure of a lodge soon. And who can blame her?

Stanley Safari Camp - view

The mighty Victoria Falls is in Stanley Safari Lodge’s backyard. Locally nicknamed, “the smoke that thunders”, the Falls are one of the Seven Wonders of the World, making Livingstone a must visit destination when in Zambia. Stanley Safari Lodge is an elegant and luxurious getaway but its heart and soul is because of the charisma and warmth of its staff members.

Stanley Safari Camp - Dennis

Meet Dennis:

  • Dennis, you are based at the marvellous Stanley Safari Lodge near the Victoria Falls. What is your favourite thing about the lodge?

Dennis: I love the setup and views from the lodge are incredible. It feels like you are already at the Falls.

Stanley Safari Camp - dining

  • When you have some time off, what do you like to do around the Victoria Falls area?

Dennis: I visit the Victoria Falls as often as possible. I like to make sure that I get to see the difference in the amount of water falling from above the falls during the different seasons. I really enjoy sharing this experience with my young family.

Stanley Safari Camp - room

  • Dennis, you were promoted from Guest Relations to a Manager recently. What is your favourite thing about your job?

Dennis: I am very proud of my new position and feel I can set a good example to all my work mates. They can see that it is possible to succeed as they see me today in my job, then they know tomorrow it could be one of them succeeding. It is also good for me, as I am now able to meet people coming from different parts of the world and at the same time learning about their cultures.

Stanley Safari Camp - helicopter

  • If you were a guest at Stanley Safari Lodge for a day, what activities would you take part in?

Dennis:  The first activity I would do has to be the tour of the Victoria Falls. The helicopter flight is also highly recommended as well as the sunset cruise and lion walk. I would want to do them all!
