Maun is known as the Gateway to the Okavango Delta and is the main hub for safaris in Botswana. It is likely to be (here that you fly into) your point of entry when you arrive in Botswana (though you could start in Kasane or even Victoria Falls or Livingstone), as well as possibly when flying to different areas of the country. We will always ensure that you’re met on your flight’s arrival (off flights) here, and you will be helped on your departure from here too.
Maun is set on the banks of the Thamakalane River in the north-west of the country. There are a few hotels, though these are mainly used for just one night pre or post safaris if necessary. Given this, most of the accommodation is quite simple. There are also souvenir shops here if you need some last minute shopping before heading home!
